Humanitarian Greetings,

We are all aware that West Sumatra, Indonesia is currently experiencing a devastating natural disaster (landslides and flash floods) that has taken hundreds of lives and left thousands of others without homes and personal belongings. Their basic needs—such as clean water, food, drinks, clothing, and others—must be supported continuously for months to come, until their lives and public facilities return to normal.

The West Sumatra Red Cross (PMI Sumatera Barat) has been actively responding since the very beginning of the disaster. Today—and for as long as needed—our volunteers continue to work tirelessly and selflessly across disaster-affected areas throughout West Sumatra, with high dedication and commitment in the name of humanity. One of our main limitations in carrying out this work is the lack of operational funds to support volunteers and to procure essential items needed by the affected communities to survive. Therefore, we continuously appeal and invite all of you to help ease our shared burden as fellow human beings by donating through Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).  We understand that transparency in reporting donations and field activities is essential to build honesty and trust among donors.

You can contribute through donations while also monitoring our activities. Once again, let us help the disaster-affected communities through PMI – Indonesian Red Cross.

How to Make a Donation from Overseas

Wise

How to Send Money with Wise (TF from Abroad)

  1. Download the Wise app and verify your personal data.
  2. Open an account & prepare the transfer: Register and verify your Wise account. Enter the amount you want to send and select the destination currency in the Wise app or website.
  3. Select the International SWIFT Transfer menu.
  4. Enter the recipient’s details: Fill in the full name, bank name, account number, and the SWIFT/BIC code for Bank Nagari / PT BPD Sumatera Barat: PDSBIDSP.
  5. Choose the payment method:
  6. Bank Transfer (Recommended): Make a transfer from your bank account (e.g. in Indonesia) to Bank Nagari, Account Number 2100.0230.000.805, PMI West Sumatra. Make sure the name and amount are correct.
  7. Complete the payment: Follow the payment instructions. Wise will convert the funds and send the money to the recipient.
